Agus added, in the 4.5 hectare garden, he originally harvested 20 tons/ha in 1 year for a low selling price ranging from Rp. 3 thousand to Rp. 5 thousand, while after using electricity he was able to produce 60 tons/ha in a year. for the price range of Rp. 10 thousand to Rp. 25 thousand because it is out of season.

“In our area, there are several types of electrifying agriculture, namely lights for onion and hydroponics, pumps for irrigation of rice fields and shrimp ponds, to lights for dragon fruit gardens. There are 690 customers of Electrifying Agriculture with a total power of 1,917,000 KVA,” explained PLN UP3 Manager. Mojokerto, Puguh Prijandoko.

Puguh explained that the PLN team would welcome it positively and offer various convenience programs to increase the productivity of the agricultural sector in Mojokerto. “Currently we also have the potential of 480 customers in the agricultural sector consisting of rice fields, onions, hydroponics, dragon gardens and chicken coops with a total power of 2.14 MVA,” he added.

The various facilities offered make Agus not hesitate to invite other dragon fruit farmers to immediately switch to using PLN electricity.

“The 12-watt yellow UV lamp has 7000 points, in addition to repelling pests it also helps the photosynthesis process at night. I invite other dragon fruit farmers to switch to using electricity, a little investment at the beginning but many times the profits at the end,” he concluded.kbc6
