Liputan6.com, Surabaya – East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansah said East Java had exported agricultural commodities worth Rp 1.3 trillion this year.
“East Java contributed exports of Rp 1.3 trillion to a number of countries. This means that the COVID-19 pandemic did not dampen the spirit of East Java’s export performance,” he said, Saturday (14/8/2021), quoted from Antara.
He explained that of the total exports sent by East Java, there were several sub-sectors, such as horticulture as much as 3.2 million kilograms with a nominal value of Rp 133.1 billion, plantations as much as 49.5 million kilograms with a nominal value of Rp 820.5 billion, livestock as much as 3 million kilograms. with a value of Rp. 144.1 billion.
Then, from the food crops sub-sector as many as 1.38 million kilograms with a value of Rp. 99.1 billion, as well as other sub-sectors as much as 34.4 thousand kilograms with a value of Rp. 111 billion.
Khofifah emphasized that this activity was in line with the spirit of the East Java Provincial Government to continue to encourage the acceleration of increasing foreign trade transactions, as well as increasing foreign exchange through exports to balance the local trade balance.
According to him, a number of strategies continue to be pursued to increase exports in East Java, one of which is by providing stimulus to business actors, both in the agricultural, industrial and trade sectors.
