TRIBUNJOGJA.COM – Asus will launch another gaming cellphone ROG Phone 5s as well as complement the variant that was previously present, namely ROG Phone 5 last March.
The news of the presence of a gaming cellphone was first announced by Mukul Sharma, a leaker who is known to often provide information regarding new Android gadgets and features.
The Asus ROG Phone 5s will carry the Snapdragon 888 Plus and larger RAM and storage, 16GB/256GB and 18GB/512GB, respectively.
For comparison, the ‘regular’ Asus ROG Phone 5 is equipped with 8 GB and 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM, as well as two UFS 3.1 internal memory options with a capacity of 128 GB and 256 GB.
The rest, ROG Phone 5s will carry the same specifications as its predecessor, such as a 144 Hz refresh rate and a 6,000 mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging.
Asus itself has not confirmed the launch of the Asus ROG Phone 5S.
But if the rumors are true, then this phone is predicted to be launched on August 16, as quoted by GSM Arena.
Asus ROG Phone 5 is Asus’ latest gaming cellphone which was officially released last March, along with ROG Phone 5 Pro, and ROG Phone 5 Ultimate.
This phone officially visited Indonesia in mid-June 2021.
Asus ROG Phone 5 features a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with Full HD Plus resolution with a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz, a touch sampling rate of 300 Hz, a brightness level of up to 1,200 nits, and is protected with a Gorilla Glass Victus glass coating.
Asus ROG Phone 5 is accompanied by three back cameras consisting of a 64 MP “Quad Bayer” main camera, a 13 MP ultra wide camera, and a 5 MP macro camera. While on the front, there is a 24 MP selfie camera.
The gaming cellphone runs the Android 11 operating system and the ROG UI interface. Other specifications include two USB Type-C charging ports, 5th generation AirTrigger, WiFi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2.
