The Scout Movement is a movement that aims to shape the mentality of the nation’s successors so that they can serve the country.
Quoted from Bobo.grid.id, the term Scout comes from English scouting, which was first introduced by Sir Robert Baden Powell.
Scouting was once a way of educating young people in England who were involved in violence and crime.
Then Boden Powell intensively trained young people to camp on Brownsea Island for 8 days in 1907.
Because of this, Boden Powell is known as the father of world Scouts.

Then this scouting movement spread to Indonesia.

It is specified in Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 238 of 1961 which was decided on May 20, 1961.
Then the scouting movement was officially introduced to the Indonesian people on August 14, 1961, after the President of the Republic of Indonesia bestowed the Panji Movement Scout with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 448 of 1961.
Since then, August 14 has been commemorated as the Birthday of the Scout Movement in Indonesia.
