Southeast Sulawesi (ANTARA) – The Ministry of Tourism has disbursed Rp36 billion for the arrangement of tourist areas in Pulau Wangi Wangi, Kaledupa, Tomia and Binongko, Wakatobi Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province.
Head of the Wakatobi Regency Tourism Office, Nadar in Kendari, Friday said the funds sourced from the DAK were for finalizing the arrangement of tourist areas on the islands of Wangiwangi, Kaledupa, Tomia and Binongko islands.
In addition to physical development, the budget is also planned to be allocated for non-physical activities, such as training and education and training.
“The Central Government pays special attention to the development of Wakatobi’s tourism potential, which is known throughout the world,” said Nadar.
Around six points that will be touched by the Rp36 billion budget, among others, One Melangka beach on the island of Binongko, whose arrangement will be finalized.
The destinations of Peak Kahianga and Mari Mabuk, Tomia Island, will be equipped with supporting infrastructure, such as culinary centers, souvenirs, viewing towers and other facilities.
Then there will be a further arrangement of the internalized area in Mari Drunk, a route for the internalized area will be made to the bridge.
“On Kaledupa Island, it is located in South Kaledupa District, precisely at the top of Barabantingi, Pajam village, there will be arrangements,” he said.
Meanwhile, on the island of Wangiwangi, namely on the Marina beach, the road shoulder arrangement will be carried out.
“At the same time completing parking in Togo Mowondu, making parks and landscapes, including on Kapota Island, to support the development of the National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN). Kapota Island will be built a culinary place and a prayer room,” he said.
