The highly anticipated Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 series will arrive today i.e. August 10th. Many teasers from Xiaomi have detailed the main specifications of the upcoming tablet. As suggested by previous leaks, the lineup will bring a total of three models – Xiaomi Mi Pad 5, Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Lite and Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Pro. In addition, this tablet will be accompanied by a stylus.

Furthermore, the tablet will have a 10.95-inch display with a high refresh rate of 120Hz. As for the camera, the tablet might get a 20MP primary sensor and a 13MP secondary lens on the back. Xiaomi has teased the design of the upcoming tablet. The tablet appears with a design similar to what we see in the rendering. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 has just been spotted on the GeekBench listing with the model number M2105K81AC. According to the GeekBench listing, it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset. It is an octa-core chipset based on the 7nm manufacturing process and is paired with the Adreno 650 SoC. The chipset is expected to be paired with 6GB of RAM and run Android 11 out of the box. On GeekBench, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 scored 1008 in the single-core test, while 3273 in the multi-core test.

The Mi Pad 5 should be available in bulk for RAM and storage configurations. The base version will get 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The other two variants will each get 8GB/12GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB of storage. The high-end model is expected to ship with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage.
As mentioned earlier, the tablet will have a 10.95-inch 120Hz IPS LCD display. It will have a screen resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a touch sampling rate of 240 Hz. The tablet is said to have dual rear cameras in the camera department consisting of a 20MP main sensor and a 13MP sensor. Furthermore, it will be powered by an 8750mAh battery with 65W fast charging support.
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 tends to come in three colors – black, white, and green. Apart from that, this upcoming tablet has a high-end speaker setup. Additionally, the tablet might get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for authentication.
The most affordable offerings in the lineup, like the Mi Pad 5 Lite, will have a 10.95-inch 2K display, a Snapdragon 860 chipset, and a 12MP main camera.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 launch and price
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 will make its way in China today. The previous generation Mi Pad is a mid-range tablet that starts at $350. However, the upcoming Mi Pad 5 with Snapdragon 870 chipset will be a premium offering. So it’s clear that the price will have a big bump. With that in mind, we can expect the tablet to ship at a starting price of $600 (~Rs 45,000).
While that’s all we know about the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5, the brand will also be introducing a new smartphone alongside this tablet. The smartphone, known as the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4, will have an almost bezel-less display on the front. While on the back, it has a square camera module with three rear cameras.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 is expected to have a 6.6-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1080 pixels. Additionally, the smartphone can ship with the Snapdragon 888 SoC processor. It can be powered by a 5000mAh battery with support for 120W wired charging and 70W or 80W wireless charging.
