Honor is reportedly preparing to launch the successor to the Honor Tab V7 Pro in China on August 12. Through the latest teaser shared by the company, the successor to the Honor V6 will have a Stylus keyboard support and a magnetic cover
according to MySmartprice sourced from tipster Ishan Agrawal, the Honor Tab V7 Pro will feature an 11-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. The display panel will have an aspect ratio of 16:10, a pixel density of 276 PPI, and a refresh rate of 120Hz. To kickstart the Tab V7 Pro Honor has made a Dimensity 1300T SoC under the hood.
The tablet will be available in several RAM and storage configurations which include 6GB RAM + 64GB/128GB storage model and 8GB RAM + 128GB/256GB storage variant. On the software side, the tablet will run Magic UI 5.0 out of the box. On the camera side, the Tab V7 Pro will carry a dual camera setup where the rear camera module will consist of a 13MP main camera and a 2MP macro sensor.
The tablet will be powered by a 7250mAh battery which will also support 22.5W fast charging. In terms of dimensions, this tablet measures 252.1mm x 163.6mm x 7.2mm and weighs 485 grams. The Honor Tab V7 Pro will offer Bluetooth v5.1 support and will be available in both LTE and Wi-Fi models. As per a teaser shared by Honor recently, the Tab V7 Pro will feature a USB Type-C port and will have a speaker grille.
On the other hand, Honor’s competitor, Lenovo, is also preparing to launch a new tablet which is believed to be called the Lenovo Tab P12 Pro. This device has been listed in the Google Play Console. This tablet will be the successor to the Tab P11 Pro which was launched in India earlier this year. Instead of just being a budget or even mid-range tablet, according to the listing, the Tab P12 Pro will be a powerhouse.
The Lenovo Tab P12 Pro features a high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor coupled with an Adreno 640 GPU. In comparison, the P11 Pro for example, features the mid-range Snapdragon 730G processor so this is a significant upgrade from Lenovo.
Further, the company is also offering 8GB RAM on the new Tab P12 Pro which is another big upgrade from the max 6GB RAM that the Tab P11 Pro offers. The tablet will also have an OLED display and run Android 11. The screen resolution that some leakers believe is 2560 x 1600 which means the pixel density is 240 PPI, but there is no information on the screen size yet.
If the leaked specifications are true, the Tab P12 Pro will carry much more power than the current Tab P11 Pro. It is interesting to note that although Samsung is the top Android tablet vendor by market share, Lenovo is actually the fastest growing Android tablet manufacturer. First, Samsung’s tablet shipments in Q2 2021 showed an 18% growth over the same period last year. Lenovo came in second with a 67% increase in shipments compared to Q2 2020.
