Agus said, after a trip to Banyuwangi, he saw a dragon fruit that uses electricity, inspired by this, starting in 2017, he used PLN electricity and got a lot of benefits.

“We can increase production, even once a week we can harvest, the profits have increased significantly, about two to three times than before using lights,” he said.

Agus added that in the 4.5 hectare garden, he originally harvested 20 tons/ha in 1 year for a low selling price ranging from Rp 3,000 to Rp 5,000, while after using electricity he was able to produce 60 tons/ha in a year for a price of around Rp. 10,000 to Rp 25,000, because it is out of season.

“With the various facilities offered, I do not hesitate to invite other dragon fruit farmers to immediately switch to using PLN electricity,” he said.

“There are 7,000 points of 12-watt yellow UV lamp, apart from repelling pests, it also helps the photosynthesis process at night. I invite other dragon fruit farmers to switch to using electricity, a little investment at the beginning but a lot of profit at the end,” said Agus. .
