The Pfizer vaccine with the COMIRNATY brand that has arrived in Indonesia will be intended for the general public who have never received the Covid-19 vaccine for free.
In the early stages, this vaccine has been distributed to the areas of Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Tangerang Selatan and Bekasi.
This was conveyed by the Head of the Bureau of Communication and Community Services, drg. Widyawati, MKM on the official website of the Ministry of Health.
The priority of giving to the Jabodetabek area is due to the complex logistics system compared to other types of vaccines.

“This vaccine must be prepared by health workers who have been trained to use certain techniques in dealing with the cold chain, including how to dilute and dilute the vaccine before it is injected,” said Widyawati.
According to him, the Pfizer vaccine has obtained Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) from BPOM on July 14, 2021, so it can be injected directly into the community.
Widyawati said that currently there are six vaccines used in Indonesia.
Starting from the Coronavac vaccine, made by Sinovac from China, then the Covid-19 vaccine produced by Bio Farma with raw materials from Sinovac.
