Former convict of corruption case Izedrik Emir Moeis was appointed as Commissioner of PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda (BUMN).

JAKARTA, JITUNEWS.COM – Former convict of corruption case Izedrik Emir Moeis was appointed as Commissioner of PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda (BUMN). The chairman of the PKS DPP, Mardani Ali Sera, said the appointment needed to be investigated.

“Does not show siding with the anti-corruption action. In fact, this is a big problem for Indonesia. The basis for the appointment needs to be investigated, it could be clientelism because it is part of a group,” said Mardani as seen on his Twitter account, Saturday (7/8).

According to him, this could be the basis for fixing the pattern of appointing BUMN commissioners.

“This could be an entry point for fixing the pattern of appointing commissioners of SOEs in particular,” he continued.

Mardani said that it could become a burden and make SOEs unable to progress. Mardani invites all parties to conduct surveillance.

“This could be part of the burden that makes SOEs unable to move forward. We will monitor carefully all the appointments of SOE directors and commissioners so that those with integrity and professionalism are chosen,” said Mardani.
