MANNA CITY, bengkuluekspress.com – The South Bengkulu Environment and Forestry Service (DLHK) cooperates with the Bengkulu BPDAS to procure thousands of reforestation seeds. This collaboration continues the collaboration in 2020, marked by the realization of 10 thousand seeds. Currently the seeds are starting to be distributed.
“We distribute the seeds for reforestation to the residents,” said the Head of DLHK BS, Ir H Jonior Haviz MAP.
Jonior said the seeds were jengkol seeds, petai, durian, jackfruit, ketapang Kencana, red shoots and tamarind. The seeds are distributed to people in need. The community submits an application, while for ornamental plants or flowers and the like, it will be distributed for planting road media and urban forests.
“The cooperation between the BPDAS of 50,000 seedlings has only been realized for 10,000 seedlings, but the rest will be realized no later than December,” he said.
Jonior added, this seed procurement collaboration is part of the DLHK “Rangkul Mesra” program innovation which was launched by DLHK some time ago. So it is hoped that the reforestation program in BS can be realized. That way in the future in BS all land can be green and nothing is open or empty.
“Hopefully with these seeds, all the land in BS will be green,” Jonior hoped. (369)
