JAKARTA, MAGELANGEKSPRES.COM – The government has allocated Rp11 trillion for the Pre-Employment Card program in 2022. Thus, the program will continue until next year.
“The pre-employment card is budgeted at around Rp11 trillion in 2022,” said Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto in a press conference on the Financial Note and the 2022 State Budget Bill, Tuesday (17/8/2021).
Airlangga said that the budget amount was reduced from this year’s allocation of IDR 30 trillion for 8.4 million recipients.
“Through this program, the government hopes to reduce the number of unemployment and poverty,” he said.
Airlangga said that next year, the government set the unemployment rate to be reduced to 5.5 percent to 6.3 percent. Meanwhile, the poverty rate is targeted to be 8.5 percent to 9 percent of the total Indonesian population in 2022.
Meanwhile, economic growth is pegged at 5 percent to 5.5 percent.
“Regarding poverty, it is encouraged that employment opportunities can be formed and we know that with economic growth targeted at 5.5 percent, the rule of thumb (principle) that every 1 percent can employ 500 thousand-400 thousand, it is hoped that it will absorb the incoming workforce in 2022,” he concluded. .
