2. Jokowi’s evaluation of PPKM Level 4

The government has decided to continue to extend the implementation of the Emergency Community Activity Restriction (PPKM) in Java-Bali for a week until Monday (23/8/2021).

The decision was conveyed by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan on the official Youtube account of the Presidential Secretariat, Monday (16/8/2021).

With this decision, it means that PPKM in Java-Bali has been implemented for more than one month since Saturday (3/7/2021).

The price of PCR tests to detect the corona virus in Indonesia has become a public concern in recent times.

Some have compared it with India, and it is known that the price of PCR tests in Indonesia, which reaches Rp. 900,000, is much more expensive than in India.

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) also asked the Ministry of Health to lower the price of PCR tests in the range of Rp 450,000 to Rp 550,000.

The Indonesian Association of Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (PDS PatKLIn) supports the government’s plan to reduce PCR test rates.

5. How to check the 2021 BSU recipient

Wage subsidy assistance (BSU) of Rp 1 million has been transferred to 947,499 recipients.

This assistance was provided by the government to workers affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

In addition to the requirement to be registered as a member of BPJS Employment, assistance is provided to affected workers in the PPKM Level 4 and Level 3 areas.

The government through the Ministry of Manpower, in collaboration with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan will provide this assistance to 8.7 million workers/laborers affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
