TANJUNG – Approaching Independence Day, it turns out that it is not only a matter of providing relief from detention and release for criminals. However, sanctions were also imposed on that day as a deterrent effect.
That is what happened to the Tanjung District Court in Tabalong Regency, which decided the punishment for four accused drug dealers the day before Independence Day, on Monday (16/8). The four people are Marzuki Raihan, Jusri, Herman and M Nasrullah. Apparently, three of them were fined Rp1 billion.
The head of the Tanjung District Court, Wisnu Widiastuti, said the three defendants were Jusri alias Edo, M Nasrullah alias Acoy and Herman alias Tedung.
In addition to fines, they are also given corporal punishment or imprisonment for six years in prison, plus a subsidiary sanction of three to six months in prison. Except for M Nasrullah who was sentenced to five years in prison.
In detail, the three were sanctioned for committing malicious conspiracy without the right to possess class I narcotics instead of plants, based on article 112 paragraph 1 letter a Juncto article 132 paragraph 1 of Law No. 35 of 2009.
Meanwhile for one other defendant, by the name of Marzuki Raihan alias Zuki for using narcotics for himself, he was only sentenced to three years in prison, based on Article 127 of Law No. 35 of 2009.
